Assignment:
Link to 5 Technology Resources for Education.

Below are some of the Technology Resource links I "scraped" ( stole! ) from J. Gaffner's pages!
Most of these really are not related to computers, and I will probably delete this page off my site
after it has served its present purpose, but some of these are pretty neat all the same!!! - -  Mik ;~)}

Wordle Logo

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

Picassohead

There is not much in the way of any kind of description on this site, but then again, it really is self explanatory for the most part. Give it a try!

ZooBurst

ZooBurst is a digital storytelling tool that lets anyone easily create his or her own 3D pop-up books.

Tagxedo

Welcome to Tagxedo, word cloud with styles

Tagxedo turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text.

Dipity

What is Dipity?

Dipity is a free digital timeline website. Our mission is to organize the web's content by date and time. Users can create, share, embed and collaborate on interactive, visually engaging timelines that integrate video, audio, images, text, links, social media, location and timestamps.

Just as a general development note - - -

You may have noticed that up and until now, I have been "copying" each of these individual logos, "pasting" them into my pages, and then creating HTML links to the images I have imported. This works pretty well for those sites that will let you do this. Some won't, and other sites have been created in Flash, so it really doesn't work to try and "copy and paste" the images. For example, in the above "dipity" link, the site would not let me capture the logo, so I simply created a very basic one myself and then linked it to the site. Frankly, I am not sure just how to import images from these "Flash-ed"sites, but it is definitely something I am going to explore in future projects!
